We will set up the system on your device (Pc, Laptop etc.) which will enable automatic synchronisation, sending your files to our UK data centre.  Once set up, your files will be refreshed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis (whichever you prefer). That’s it, you are then protected against data loss from virus attacks, hard drive corruption, theft or even accidental damage.

All our backups are secured with 256-bit encryption. Think of it as a MASSIVE password which is a mix of letters, numbers and symbols. To give you an idea of how many variations there are of attempting this encryption, try 116, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000. This the same level that the military use!

Right here, in the UK. Our data centres are based in the Midlands and London.  Your data is duplicated across both for extra resilience.  We do not send data overseas which ensures strict compliance with GDPR.

N.B. Other cloud services such as Dropbox, Google and Onedrive may store your data on a variety of servers across Europe and the United States. Additionally, none of these serves as disaster recovery, they are simply online storage.

The cloud is basically a term for an online data centre (or network of data centres) providing a massive amount of computing capacity and data storage accessed via the internet.

You choose the frequency of backup i.e. daily weekly or monthly and there are options that include “System state backups” that will keep a full system image of a device (PC, Laptop etc.) including setup, data, and programs right down to the screensaver, allowing you 100% recovery.
